The company of York Construction Services LLC then began with David York and Cheryl York as founding members with David York being the majority owner.

In February of 2013 the company announced it would become a woman-owned business and a shift of leadership occurred with Cheryl York becoming the majority owner. The lack of Minority and Women owned businesses in the construction industry was very apparent and began to be our driving force. In June of 2018 our company received a Certification from the National Women's Business Enterprise Certification making us a certified Woman Owned Business and a Woman Owned Small Business We also make it our goal to pursuing Minority and Women owned vendors, subcontractors, and businesses. Being part of this community has allowed our company to explore "nontraditional doors." While the Federal government has worked hard to integrate the industry, they have not achieved their goals. It is important to continue to look for strategies to break through. but it is equally as important to look back at how far we have come. The realization of the most important goal is "where do we go from here."

The team of York Construction Services LLC brings a wealth of knowledge with over seventy-five years plus of knowledge and experience. As a Tennessee General Commercial Contractor, we have been fortunate to expand our market to Mississippi, Florida, and Arkansas. In the last several years this company has gained a strong foothold in some of the most prestigious historical projects stretching from Tennessee to Florida. We continue to be very active in projects which include Marriott Hotel, Federal Express, Ruth Chris Restaurant, Boyle Investment, and Hilton Hotels, to name a few. York Construction services LLC incorporates its philosophy of personal accountability.
